Vote! (for the next Quilting Arts cover)

I’m honored that my snowflake piece, “Crystalline,” is being considered for the December/January cover of Quilting Arts. But I love Sarah Ann Smith's Queen Anne’s Lace piece (cover 2), and voted for it! Cast your vote here: https://www.facebook.com/QuiltingDaily/posts/1116754995039676?pnref=story

  1. Hi,
I love your snowflake work. I wondered how you do that? I would like to try my hand at it.
    Thanks, theresa.sullivan1@gmail.com

    1. I draw the snowflakes, then trace them onto white fabric, and paint them with acrylic textile paint. If you want to give it a try, there's more information here about wholecloth painting: http://wwwbluemoonriver.blogspot.com/search?q=Wholecloth+FAQs

  2. I love your snowflakes. I would love to try to do what you do but I’m not sure I can draw snowflakes. It’s one of my favorite things. Thank you for sharing how you do it. Maybe I’ll try one of these days.
